Tournament Facts Tournament ASA 18U Western A National Championship Location 9833 North 25th Avenue Phoenix, Arizona 85021 (on 25th Ave between Peoria and Dunlap) Dates July 31 - August 6, 2006 Opening Ceremonies August 1, 2006 @ 11:00am Tim Hattrick -KNIX- Master of Ceremonies Entry Fee $400 per team Teams All eligible 18U "A" teams who meet all qualifications set by ASA Code Ticket Prices Tournament Passes Adult - $20 Youth - 18 and under - $14 Seniors - 55 and over - $14 Day Passes Adult - $5 Youth and Seniors - $3 **Attention players and coaches**If your tournament pass is lost, stolen, cut off, torn off. Will replace for free if it comes off due to normal wear and tear. Will recheck eligibility if it needs to be replaced, must bring remnants back for free replacement. Otherwise there will be a $20 flat replacement fee.** Parking Ample, free parking for all types of vehicles at the softball complex. (No overnight RV parking) Security will be frequently patrolling the complex. **Phoenix ASA nor the City of Phoenix is responsible to any lost or stolen vehicles or valuables.** Please remember to not leave anything of value in plain site.
Tournament format: Per ASA Code 2 pool games followed by double elimination by draw seeding per ASA Code Tournament Draw: Per ASA Code Monday, July 31st, 11:00am - 2:00pm Location TBA Picnic at the Park & Diamondbacks' Recruiting Showcase Monday, July 31st @ 7pm @ Rose Mofford Softball Complex Cost: $25 per Showcase participant Picnic at the Park is open for anyone to attend. Tournament Passes Must be presented at gate upon admission
Uniforms: Per ASA Code All Teams must be in like uniforms with numbers as outlined in the 2006 ASA Rule Book. Line Ups All teams must provide line ups to opposing team and umpire. The following information must be included on each line up card:
Dugout Area Dugout area is limited to players, coaches, tournament personnel, and team assistants only. (Must be 2006 ASA registered player, coach, team assistant/scorekeeper and proof of ASA registration is required) No coach will be allowed in any dugout or playing field unless 2006 ASA registered. If your team is individually registered all coaches and support staff must be 2006 ASA registered also. Home Team Home team will be determined by coin flip 30 minutes before start of game at tournament directors' station. Home team will occupy the 3rd base dugout. Souvenirs Will be available at Rose Mofford Sports Complex during scheduled game times and also at Four Points by Sheraton during team check in times. Umpire in Chief (520) 991-3494

Sunday, July 30th 4:00pm – 6:00pm: early check in for teams at the Four Points Sheraton Monday, July 31st 8:00am – 10:30am: check in for teams at the Four Points Sheraton 11:00am – 2:00pm: coaches’ luncheon/draw 3:00pm – 6:00pm: check in for teams at the Four Point Sheraton 7:00pm – “Picnic at the Park” and Diamondbacks’ Recruiting Showcase Tuesday, August 1st 8:00am – 9:00am: Final team check in at the Four Points Sheraton 11:00am – 12:30pm: Opening Ceremonies at Rose Mofford Park 2:00pm – 5:00pm: Late arrivals’ check in at the Four Points Sheraton 6:00pm – first games at Rose Mofford Softball Complex ***Please note: Team Gift Exchange will take place at first pool game played by each team, please be prepared to exchange***
